A New Mexico Guide About Santa Fe and Environs
Blue Sky Santa Fe is an independent New Mexico travel guide focused on Santa Fe, Northern New Mexico, and the landscapes, neighborhoods, art, food, history, and culture that make the region one of the most distinctive places in the American Southwest.
The project began with a simple idea: some of the best travel experiences are lived by happenstance — through side streets, quiet corners, local food, art, architecture, landscape, and atmosphere that is all about discovery .

A guide to art, culture, history, and place
Blue Sky Santa Fe combines curated destination guides, original visual design, local context, and carefully organized travel ideas intended to help visitors experience Santa Fe with a stronger sense of character and connection.
Current coverage focuses on Santa Fe and Northern New Mexico, including guides about historic districts, Canyon Road, the Plaza, the Railyard, museums, markets, food, local tours, scenic drives, high-desert landscapes, and nearby mountain communities.
Created by Geordie Buxton
Blue Sky Santa Fe is created by Geordie Buxton, a writer, educator, and destination-focused digital publisher who has shared time between South Carolina and New Mexico since 1997.
His Santa Fe background includes work as a writer for La Cocinita magazine and as marketing director for Trans-Lux movie theaters in 2000, when he helped facilitate the national premiere of The Tao of Steve at the Jean Cocteau Theater. The film was shot in Santa Fe and remains part of the city’s late-1990s creative landscape.
More recently, he has taught for several years as a professor of Language & Letters at Northern New Mexico College in Española. Blue Sky Santa Fe brings about that enduring connection to New Mexico with a practical travel-guide format for visitors who want to experience the region through art, history, culture, food, and landscape.
